Summer camp 2012
Summer Camp registration is open. We are excited to see everyone and meet new faces. We are offering two sessions this year with intermediate students having 3 hour classes in the mornings from 9-12 and beginner students afternoons from 1 - 3 PM. The dates for camp are July 9 - July 20th. The cost is $275 for intermediate and $250 for beginner session before July 5th. Registration after July 5th is 300 and 275. We need to know you are coming so register soon. We will contact you for payment information after you register. The end of the class will be a worship time with all students together on the final Friday morning. More information will be provided as we get closer to camp.
Plus, we are very excited to offer a third class for the last week of July ( July 23 - 27) focused on home recording. N2Worship Spring 2012
This is our fourth year for N2Worship classes. Wow! Announcing Spring classes will be held Monday nights from March 19th through April 30th. We are excited to offer two tracks, beginning and intermediate classes. Our goal is to help the students learn to play worship music on their instrument either in solo or in a worship band setting. We would like the beginning students to be familiar with the basics of playing their instrument, -- where the notes are located, hand positions, etc. However, if you are wondering if you will be comfortable in the class, please email us with your questions. We might be able to work with you or your student. Students should be at least 10 years of age but there is no upper limit. We have had very good success with older musicians, also, who want to reconnect with their instruments from younger days. Come, let’s work together.
- Beginner classes from 6-7 PM in guitar, keyboard, drums and bass. There will be two components in this class
- Vocal and ear training … working toward helping the student match tones, identify note intervals, and very basic chords and numbering systems. This will help them with playing most instruments by ear.
- Instrument training.
- Advanced classes from 7-8:30 PM in guitar, keyboard, drums and bass. There will be two components to this class:
- Ear training and practical music theory. This will involve basic ear training for identifying intervals, understanding common chord structures and progressions and learning to identify them.
- Group sessions learning to play contemporary worship songs on the usual instruments for a worship band: guitar, keyboard, drum and bass. After a few weeks, we will spend some time in band settings.
The semester will be seven weeks long, Monday nights March 19th through April 30th.
